Ryan isn't retiring because he still feels he has too much to prove. Doesn't Michael deserve some time to rest?!? He's been doing 5 am practices every day since he was 14 years old. Quit hating on the man for your own selfish reasons. He doesn't need to prove anything more. He's tired and has won it all. Why push him?!
i understand that. and i respect that. i was just expressing my opinion. my opinion in no way would probably sway Phelps to do anything anyways. im not hating on him either. Michael Phelps has been my inspiration to swim as hard as i can since i was a little kid. im just hurt by the fact that i probably wouldn’t ever see him swimming again. to see the man that i absolutely looked up to my whole entire life just stop swimming hurts. he might not know who i am, but he has affected my life in a huge way. sorry for sharing my opinion and sorry for wanting to see the person i admire most continue what he probably loved doing.
